My name is Jacki Bowyer and I am the principal at Jacki Bowyer Graphic Design. I began my graphics company in 2005, shortly after graduating with honours from the York University/Sheridan College Bachelor of Design Program, and have been working in the field ever since. My first love has always been illustration. Having a background in fine arts (Art Fundamentals certificate from Sheridan College), I decided to focus on graphics as it was a way I could use my creativity to help small and large business’ come to life!

In the past eight years, I (along with my team) have had the opportunity to work with some fantastic companies. Some just starting off, looking to make themselves known in their market, as well as with established companies looking to reinvent themselves through branding, new marketing materials and a fresh web presence. Quite often, we have clients come to us not knowing where to begin, and it’s our job to ease their minds and guide them through the creative process one step at a time. One of the most important parts of the process is getting to know our clients on a personal level, which really helps us to understand who they are  and what they are attracted to visually. Knowing our clients makes our job that much easier, as it helps us create a design we know they will enjoy and it also makes the entire experience that much more enjoyable for everyone involved.

In the beginning, a lot of the work we were doing was print based, but as the importance of having a strong web presence escalated, more of our time has been spent building websites, designing web ads and helping clients with their social media needs. At JBGD, we think it is tremendously important that every company has a solid brand, as consistency strengthens their companies image, allowing them to have a memorable presence in their market.
